The Portland art community is adrift in a sea of grief that will ebb and flow for all time. This loss is tremendous. The loss of Portland's Art Gallery Goddess Donna Guardino (of Guardino Gallery) marks a moment of such profound loss that it's nearly impossible to find words to match the immense crevasse left by her absence.
Donna was a beacon. Her sophisticated vision elevated the Portland art scene and created a vibrant community (one alive with possibility and growth). She heralded thousands of artists. She worked tirelessly. She helped emerging and established artists equally. Giving many artists their first big break.
I will remember Donna's smile and her light forever...she will hang the moon and stars for us now (of that I am sure)!

The pics below include Gail Owen with Donna at the top (they were inseparable).
Goodbye dear and wonderous Donna, you reflected all of us and changed the way we see the world.
Rest in Peace.
You are adored for all time.
