TRIBUTARY II:
Flow from Humanity
"Artists were tasked with visually exploring the properties of waterways (either symbolically or naturalistically). The resulting collection reveals much through movement, pathways, and depth. While curating, I discovered a bounty of works that used markedly darker palette choices. I considered that these shrouded areas might represent all of the things that we don't see in bodies of water. And perhaps these darker expressions symbolically unveil the hidden things in life, too (the things that are left unsaid, the deeper considerations of unspoken thoughts, fears, and dreams)."
Jennifer Gillia Cutshall,
Curator
